The Red Velvet Challenge started as a unique way to explore a new city. I knew that wherever I may be in the world, I would not be fully content without access to the perfect slice of Red Velvet cake. Of course, I could just bake a cake weekly - but that is not nearly as fun. And so, when I moved from Washington D.C. to Atlanta, Georgia - The Red Velvet Challenge was born.
In Atlanta, it was advertised, one could find Red Velvet in every window, and every shop, and in every home. I later discovered that 1) this was not truly the case and 2) what you found in those few windows, shops, and homes was not all that wonderful. That said, exploring the city through Red Velvet lenses made my time there truly extraordinary.
But now it is time to move on to other destinations. This blog is about cake, the city I live in, and the person I am. Dig in.
